Calculate NSFW AI video cost per usable clip by dividing your net credit spend by the number of clips you keep. Include paid retries, edits and audio, then subtract confirmed refunds. The advertised generation price does not account for how many completed results you reject.

Use your own account's displayed prices and generation history. The examples below illustrate the arithmetic; they are not paid-account tests, measured failure rates or promises about output quality.

Define a usable clip before spending credits

Write down what you need: duration, resolution and one action. Add the defects that would make you reject the result.

For a five-second café scene, you might require a consistent fictional adult character, a steady viewpoint and one completed movement. If you need dialogue, include intelligible speech and acceptable timing in the same checklist.

Separate requirements from preferences. An unusable face change and a background color you dislike need different responses. Decide whether you would keep a near-match before you start generating, so you do not keep changing the brief after each paid attempt.

Nectar recommends starting a first V3 companion video at five seconds and 720p, with one simple action. Its guide says longer clips and higher resolutions have higher displayed prices. Check the price before Create. Nectar's video-generation guide

Calculate net credits per accepted clip

Use this formula:

Cost per usable clip = (generation + edit + enhancement + audio charges - confirmed refunds) / clips kept

Count a clip once, even if you download it several times. If you keep no clips, report the credits spent and zero accepted outputs. You cannot calculate a meaningful per-clip average by dividing by zero.

For a worked example, OurDream's public cost guide, edited March 2, 2026, assumes a paid subscription and lists standard video at 100 DreamCoins per five seconds. It also lists finishing charges. Check the selected model's current action price before buying; this dated schedule is an illustration. OurDream's published coin schedule

The following examples use that documented 100-coin charge for illustration, with no add-ons or refunds:

Hypothetical session Paid generations Clips kept Net coins Coins per usable clip
You keep the first result 1 1 100 100
You keep one of four results 4 1 400 400
You keep two of four results 4 2 400 200

These outcomes are scenarios, not a prediction of how often any platform succeeds. Record your own accepted outputs before estimating a larger project.

Separate technical failures from rejected results

Keep two categories in your log:

  • A technical failure: the service reports an error or cancels the request.
  • A completed result you reject: the service delivers a clip, but you dislike the movement, consistency or another detail.

OurDream's help page says it refunds generation failures, including timeout, server and content-policy errors. It advises checking the balance and contacting support if a refund remains missing after 15 minutes. That promise concerns failure errors; it does not establish a blanket refund for completed clips you dislike. OurDream's generation-failure policy

Subtract a refund only after it reaches your balance. An observed debit remains part of your spend until that happens. If you cannot determine whether a request was charged, record that unknown exposure separately rather than entering zero. Capture the error and time before retrying.

Log the costs around the generation

Keep a short ledger with the model and settings, the displayed charge and the outcome. Add edits or extensions to the original clip's cost if you need them to make it usable.

OurDream's published schedule lists video enhancement at 50 coins per five seconds and added audio at 20 coins per second. Its extension rule increases the original generation cost by 50%. Check which rule applies to your selected model instead of assuming an extension costs the same as a fresh short clip. OurDream's editing charges

Record enough detail to compare like with like. A silent five-second test and a longer talking video are different purchases. Keep their totals separate until you know which version you need.

Time also matters. Kindroid documents queue delays for photo and video selfies, including paid-credit requests made during an existing delay. Extra credits do not necessarily buy immediate delivery. Kindroid's queue documentation

Keep subscription cost separate from credit cost

Record the subscription fee, included balance and top-ups on separate lines. A subscription may grant access and an allowance while the provider meters individual actions.

OurDream's subscription article, edited July 17, 2026, lists a $19.99 monthly plan with 1,000 DreamCoins each month. Its annual option charges $119.88 upfront, with a different initial allocation. Those are published plan terms, not a check of your regional checkout or account offer. OurDream's subscription terms

For a video-only budget, you can divide all money spent during the period by usable clips. If you also use the subscription for chat and images, label that number “whole-account cost per clip.” Do not present it as the provider's marginal video price.

Keep credits in their native units until you have a verified purchase price. One provider's coin is not a standard unit of computing or an equivalent of another provider's credit.

Set a stopping point before the next retry

Choose the credit amount you can spend on this scene, including revisions. Keep enough for any audio or finishing step you need.

After a rejected output, change one specific element of the brief. Try a shorter action or a simpler composition. If the same defect keeps appearing, check the model's limitations before buying more. A discounted pack is poor value if you still cannot get a usable result.

Use the OurDream profile and Nectar AI profile to investigate those products. Our AI video generator comparison can help you identify alternatives, but compare their current action prices and your own results before committing.

Frequently asked questions

Does a video subscription include unlimited generations?

Check the allowance and per-action rules. Access to a feature does not establish unlimited use. Include any required subscription in your budget, then record the credits each generation consumes.

Should I include failed requests in my cost calculation?

Yes, if they were charged and have not been refunded. Keep an observed debit in the spent total while a refund is pending. If the charge itself is unknown, show that uncertainty separately. Completed clips you rejected also count unless a refund arrives.

Can I assume a lower-resolution clip costs less?

Check the displayed price. Some providers vary charges with resolution or duration; others use model-specific rules. A cheaper attempt can still cost more per usable clip if you need additional paid attempts or finishing work.

Does a published 100-credit price apply to all video models?

No. A documented rate may describe one model or mode. Record the selected model and current confirmation price. Recheck after a model change instead of carrying an old rate into your next budget.

How many attempts should I budget for?

Use a capped test session to collect your own results. Until you have that record, compare explicit scenarios such as one, two or four paid attempts per accepted clip. Label them as assumptions rather than an expected success rate.
