Cancel an AI Girlfriend Subscription: Billing vs Deletion

To cancel an AI girlfriend subscription, first identify who bills you: the website, Apple or Google Play. Cancel through that provider and save the confirmation. Then preserve any chats or media you want before deleting the account. Removing an app, ending a subscription and deleting account data are separate actions, with different consequences.

Find the billing provider before you delete anything

Start with your purchase receipt. Was the subscription bought on the companion's website, through the App Store, or through Google Play? Use that receipt to choose the cancellation route. The device you use today is not enough to identify where you originally subscribed.

For example, someone who subscribed on an iPhone might now chat mainly in a desktop browser. They should still check the original billing provider rather than assume the website controls that purchase.

Keep your receipt, subscription email address and renewal date together. Save the confirmation after cancellation, with the date paid access ends. That gives you something specific to check if the account screen or a later charge looks wrong.

Choose the cancellation route that matches your receipt

If Apple bills you

On an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Select the relevant subscription and choose Cancel Subscription. Apple says that if the cancellation button is absent, or an expiration message appears in red, it is already canceled. Check that you are viewing the correct subscription. If Google Play bills you

Open your subscriptions in Google Play using the Google account associated with the purchase. Select the plan, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the prompts. Google's instructions explicitly distinguish cancellation from uninstalling. Google Play's cancellation instructions.

If you paid on the website

Use the service's documented subscription or billing settings. If you cannot find the plan, check the receipt and the account you used before trying a deletion button. Contact the provider's official support with the transaction reference if the billing route remains unclear. Do not send a full card number or password.

Candy AI: check the billing end date and tokens

Candy AI's terms separate canceling renewal from losing premium access: the paid features remain available until the current billing period ends. The same terms say unused tokens will then expire and cannot be carried into a later subscription. Check the terms applicable to your purchase before assuming a token balance survives cancellation. Replika: distinguish the website from the app stores

Replika's terms, updated 28 October 2026, say web-account deletion also cancels a website subscription at the end of the paid period. They separately warn that deleting an account does not itself cancel an app-store subscription. Kindroid: export before deleting the account

Kindroid documents an export under Profile > Preferences > Account privacy. It emails a download link to the verified account address. The export contains media links rather than the media files themselves, so check what you actually saved before deletion.

Its FAQ says deleting the account does not cancel billing. It also describes a 24-hour scheduled deletion for the final Kindroid and retention of subscription status, currency counts and other logistical information. Use this order when leaving a companion app

1. Identify the purchase. Find the billing provider, account email and renewal date.
2. Stop renewal. Complete that provider's cancellation flow and save its confirmation.
3. Preserve what matters. Request an available export, open the result and check whether media files are included or merely linked.
4. Decide whether to delete. Read the current deletion warning, including what cannot be restored and what the provider says it retains.
5. Keep the receipts. Store the cancellation and deletion confirmations separately from any chat backup.

Cancellation does not have to mean deleting your conversations. Conversely, keeping a subscription canceled is not proof that the provider has deleted account data. Decide which outcome you want, then verify that outcome directly.

Frequently asked questions

Does deleting an AI girlfriend app stop payments?

Not reliably. Apple and Google say app removal does not cancel subscriptions. Check the original billing provider and cancel the plan there before treating the payment issue as resolved.

Can I cancel without deleting my chats?

That depends on the service. Kindroid documents read-only access after subscription expiry. Check the current access rules and available export before canceling or deleting, rather than assuming every provider handles chat history the same way.

Will canceling automatically refund the last payment?

Treat cancellation and a refund request as separate tasks. Use the seller's or app store's current refund process to check eligibility. A cancellation confirmation alone does not establish that a previous payment will be returned.

What if I am still charged after deleting the account?

Locate the receipt and identify who processed the charge. Check cancellation status with that provider, then contact its official support with the transaction reference and your saved confirmation. A deleted profile alone is not proof that an app-store subscription ended.
